A new Advertising Summit event has been added to WAN-Ifra’s
Publish Asia convention in Bangkok in April.

Publications and events director Gilles Demptos says that with Asian newspapers’ business models largely based on advertising, the first Advertising Summit is intended to provide an understanding of “the new ad game” in the digital era.

“It will also
demonstrate how newspapers can benefit from it through media houses' case
studies from around the world,” he says.

The three-day programme returns to the Shangri-La hotel from April 27-29.

Publish Asia 2011 retains its established CEO conference for media leaders, and will explore forward-thinking innovations in the newsroom with its Newsroom Summit and production and technology developments at the Printing Summit.

Traditional features include an Expo showcasing latest technology and service offerings for optimising newspaper production in print and new media platforms.

Winners of the Asia Media Awards 2011 will be presented during a gala dinner on April 28. Deadline for entries is February 28.

Publish Asia will also include one-day learning workshops and site visits to media houses in Bangkok.

Registration and programme updates are at http://www.publishasia.com
