The competition for this year's PANPA Advertising Awards – from Australia's Newspaper Publishers Association – kicks off next month with more categories than ever before. A total of 49 awards in four circulation categories are on offer for the smallest to the largest newspapers. Two new circulation categories will encourage smaller titles to take part, covering the 0-10,000 and 10,001-25,000 circulation titles. The awards will include individual executive awards for: Advertising Manager of the Year Salesperson of the Year Creative Services/Ad Designer of the Year Awards will also be given for favourite categories such as 'innovation' and 'excellence in bundling' print and digital solutions. The 2010 PANPA Ad Awards are not just open to those working in newspapers, but also their colleagues in the digital media space. This year, the association wants its first entries for mobile advertising, and expects newspapers in Asia to really throw down a challenge in the mobile and bundling categories. Entries will again be made electronically, using templates that will be on the new PANPA website (www.panpa.org.au) from February 1. Each entry must have been published between March 27, 2009 to March 12, 2010. Entries close March 12, 2010.
