Erin Mercieca of manroland Australasia and Mark George of Böttcher are among recipients of this year’s GAMAA Leadership Programme scholarships. Mercieca, whi is spare parts manager of the new manroland subsidiary, says previous workshops she has attended have been both beneficial in her working and social life. “The GAMAA Leadership programme highlights strategies that are helping me to enhance my knowledge and ability on a day-to-day basis,” she says. George, is a sales manager with Böttcher Australia. “All my working life I’ve looked at what the next day would bring, who I’d meet, what I’d learn and who would learn from me,” he says. “GAMAA’s Leadership Programme brings together all these aspects, and to be offered a place amongst so many talented colleagues is personally very rewarding”. Other winners are Adrian Sheedy (account manager, Blue Star) and Matthew McRobert, who holds a similar position with NSW Department of Lands. GAMAA president Mitch Mulligan says the Leadership Programme has awarded 38 scholarships snce its inception in 2002. “These four new scholars will have the opportunity to learn from some of the leading minds in business and strategic development and to forge new networks.” The 2010 GAMAA Leadership Workshop programme includes a Melbourne one-day workshop on April 14, and another in Sydney on August 27.
