Atex has announced a new browser-based content management system based on a plug-in, which it says will enable users to manage entire workflows in a single.
The new Content product has Web CMS integration to give user companies a single view of all digital and print content.
Content product management vice president Stewart Bowley says this will enables newsroom and production tasks to occur simultaneously, reducing the expense and manual effort associated with meeting production deadlines.
The user interface framework of the browser-based system provides a ‘mash-up’ capability to integrate Atex applications directly within other third-party software. It works on a variety of platforms – PCs, Mac or any device with a web browser and the plug-in installed – enabling it to be used both in-house and remotely.
Journalist functions include easy access to wire content and integrated text mining.
“With its ability to provide an integrated, single user interface to handle the entire workflow, from content gathering to pagination to online delivery, Content will improve efficiencies by eliminating unnecessary steps in the process,” says Bowley.
