Get in quick if you want to be among a group of editors visiting leading newsrooms in New York and Washington next month.

Cherilyn Ireton, executive director of WAN-Ifra’s World Editors Forum says last year’s event  sold out, and the autumn study tour in the US is particularly popular.

Between September 23-28, the group will visit the ‘New York Times’, the ‘Wall Street Journal’, ‘USA Today’ and Digital First Media, all of which are taking the concept of digital integration to new levels.

“We have added Thunderdome, the centralised news operation of Digital First Media, to our confirmed visits at the invitation of chief executive John Paton, whose group owns the pioneering Journal Register Company and Media News Group,” she says.

More visits are to be confirmed shortly.

Details, including prices, are on the WEF website, or email federica.cherubini@wan-ifra.org
