KBA inkjet orders: UK boss’s newspaper clue

The first of KBA’s new generation of inkjet web presses are set to be installed by June this year.

UK trade magazine PrintWeek quotes local managing director Christian Knapp that the German maker has received one order and holds a letter of intent for the RotaJet 76 digital press, launched at DRUPA last year.

While details of the customers and intended applications have not been disclosed, Knapp says the press “would be a good addition to an existing fleet of newspaper presses for producing targeted covers or regionalised centre spreads, to be inserted on mailroom systems".

Both presses would be installed in the first half of this year. The RotaJet 76 is to be exhibited at the Hunkeler Innovation open days next month.
