Mobile developer Netbiscuits has teamed with Google on its ‘GoMo’ initiative to help make websites more mobile-friendly.
Users of the GoMo service will be able to access Netbiscuits enterprise class tools and services, including SiteBuilder, via a free trial. This has drag and drop functionality, allowing for easy site set up and automatic hosting.
US managing director of Netbiscuits Craig Besnoy emphasises the need to ‘go mobile’: “Customers are using their mobile devices to make purchases, find retail locations and make recommendations to their friends,” he says. “GoMo is bringing our leading web development platform to millions of business owners who want to Go Mobile to engage customers wherever they are and no matter what device they are using."
Google GoMo programme members get a two-month free trial of Netbiscuits.
The Google-led GoMo initiative aims to provide website owners with tools and resources to make them more mobile-friendly. A ‘GoMoMeter’ tool enables them to see how their sites look and perform on mobiles, and get personalised recommendations.
The GoMo site has information about current mobile trends, best practices for launching mobile sites, and a list of developers.
