Digital Technology will set up a new DTI InSight analytics team following its acquisition of IO Intelligence.

The two companies have worked together for more than seven years, with IO the force behind DTI’s circulation and advertising InSight products. In Australia, both News Limited and Fairfax Media are IO customers.

DTI president Dan Paulus says the acquisition brings more business analytics expertise to DTI. “The InSight products and services provide more timely and accurate information throughout a customer’s publishing enterprise,” he says. “Our customers are increasingly using management dashboards and applying business intelligence and analytics tools to improve their business performance. IO Intelligence adds strategic expertise and a fast growing revenue source to Digital Technology.”

A new DTI InSight team will take advantage of InterSystems DeepSee, active analytics software used to help in making better decisions. IO Intelligence staff will remain in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, but will be integrated as the DTI InSight team.

IO president Jim Williams says he is proud to announce the deal, having been a long-time, fully integrated business partner of DTI. “We look forward to continuing to serve our shared InSight customers and the new opportunities presented from this change,” he says.

Williams says the team will work “even more seamlessly” with existing customers and be able to enhance InSight reporting systems through the deeper access provided to DTI’s core development teams.
