Wave2’s self-service advertising product is to be sold in the Asia-Pacific by Melbourne-headquartered Advanced Publishing Systems.

The authorised reseller deal – effective from December 1 – was announced today by APS sales director Terry Flynn.

“Our customers are always looking for new ways to generate additional growth and revenue from their advertising services, both online and print, and the Wave2 multimedia and multichannel solutions match these demands for all sizes of newspaper operations,” he says.

APS is best known for its QuickLayout, Optima Viewer and Synergy products, used by more than 200 clients. The Wave2 partnership expands the portfolio of integrated advertising solutions and services for newspaper and magazine publishers.

Flynn says the self-service solutions complement APS own products: “They offer close integration to ad booking applications as well as material handling systems and as such, fit perfectly into the workflow and production solutions provided by APS,” he says.

Andrew Haggarty, sales director of UK-based Wave2 Media Solutions, says the company already has market-leading customers in Australia and New Zealand: “We’re confident that APS is the right partner to help us increase our customer base throughout Asia-Pacific,” he says. “Their solutions complement ours to provide the most competitive and comprehensive ad production supply chain system on the market”.
