Existing Atex advertising software will be interfaced in a 680-seat Brainworks CRM system across US-based MediaNews Group.

The links will provide users with current financial and transactional information, and will complement the CRM system in the Brainworks advertising already being rolled out with Digital First Media sister company 21st Century Media.

The mobile CRM provides sales reps with access to information via a laptop, smartphone or tablet. In addition to customizable dashboards, it delivers a global view of a rep’s customers, showing advertising history, credit messages, contacts and appointments. Tight integration with Xpance ad-tracking allows past ads to be viewed, picked up ads and re-routed.

Dynamic research tools to allow a sales rep to research a customer or prospect prior to making the sales call.

DFM chief technology officer Bob Mason says the products meet the needs of the company’s digitally-focused multi-platform sales teams and provides a unified CRM system across its national network.

The installation is scheduled to get underway this quarter beginning with the Los Angeles Newspaper Group cluster.
