Publishing systems developer Protecmedia has scored its first Asian sale with an order for its subscription product from New Straits Times Press.
Malaysian market leader NSTP is installing the SHIPO solution for circulation and subscriptions management. An older system is being replaced, with SHIPO improving service to subscribers and optimising distribution.
Protecmedia entered the Asian market less than a year ago with in collaboration with local partner Richmatt Graphics, and is delighted to have gained the trust of Malaysia’s best-known publishing group. NSTP publishes the New Straits Times, New Sunday Times, BeritaHarian, BeritaHarian Ahad, Harian Metro and Metro Ahad.
The new installation creates an environment for efficient management, and will help the publisher learn about its audiences’ profile and tastes, providing useful information for possible commercial and marketing actions.
On circulation, it provides a single application to focus all the variables while being integrated with other business areas, improving processes and minimising errors.
The Protecmedia range includes products for management of cross-media advertising, editorial activity planning, content management, editing and multichannel production, management and sale of publishing assets and control the circulation and subscriptions. Its Milennium cross-media software is implemented in more than 400 publications in 25 countries.
