German software developer ppi Media has expanded its network with the appointment of Gopal Krishnan’s Basis Systems as its partner in India.
ppi Media has been present in the Indian market for 13 years, with clients including the Times of India, Hindustan Times and Sakaal.
“Today, half of India’s top 20 dailies are using ppi Media's products and solutions,” says the company’s international sales senior vice president Gerhard Raab. “This makes India one of our fastest growing and most important markets.
“To intensify our activities in India, we are also offering small and compact solutions that are particularly suited to the requirements of medium-sized publishers.”
Raab says Basis founder Gopal Krishnan knows this market extremely well: “We believe that this cooperation will enable us to access smaller publishing houses as well as corporate publishing”, he says.
