Blogs and storytelling are central to the Escenic Days event being held in Oslo next month.

Talking about live blogging at Trinity Mirror are digital executive editor Ann Gripper, senior product manager Mary Lojkine and IT digital head Neil McIntyre. The past year has seen creation of more than 10,000 live blogs in the past 12 months - resulting in a huge traffic increase.

The address is set to be among highlights of the product event from June 10-11, which also includes experiences from Axel Springer and a dinner cruise on Oslo Fjord.

Axel Springer digital director Lajos Lange will talk about new ways of working with the Escenic content engine to create rapid prototypes and develop new sites at the German publishing giant, while from Egmont Publishing, digital director Tore André Godager will talk about boosting traffic and engagement.

Following an upgrade, the Norwegian news site kjlikk.no has experienced a 100 per cent increase in daily visitors and pages that load 60 percent faster

Escenic chief executive Mark van de Kamp is also set to discuss the company's strategy, roadmap and Escenic 6, and Thea Borgholm, digital solutions vice president at sister company CCI, will introduce a new dynamic news app. Details from the event website
