After sharing sales operations with its former sheetfed partner, manrolnd web systems has decided to go it alone in the key Greater China market.

A new sales and service company, manroland web printing equipment (Beijing) Co - with branch offices in Hong Kong and Taipei - has been launched this month.

The partnership between the two - manroland sheetfed is now UK-owned - continued after reorganisation of manroland in 2012. Now both will take individual responsibility for their activities in the region. The move replicates those made in some other markets.

The new manroland web systems market organisation has been operational since April 1.

Sales vice president Dr. Frank Tietsche says "well known company representatives and service technicians" will continue within the new organisation: "Smooth processes will be beneficial for the customers, and the changes will strengthen the high-performance business partnerships, manroland web systems is committed to," he says.

The new company is located in the New World Center Office Building in Beijing's Dongcheng District.
