KBA's takeover of Spanish diecutting machinery manufacturer Iberica has been completed with the signing of the purchase agreement.
With the sale by Italian vendor Officine Meccaniche G. Cerutti, the KBA Group expands its portfolio for packaging customers in print finishing.
Based in Barcelona, Iberica has a staff of 60 and produces medium and largeformat flatbed die-cutters for board and corrugated packaging. KBA has been active in this market for some time with its sheetfed presses.
KBA says the takeover and integration of Iberica underscores the global group's focus on growth markets and greatly improves the Spanish die-cutters' growth prospects. The purchase price and other details regarding the takeover have not been disclosed. OMGC was advised by Fredericks Michael & Co.
