A 'positive transformation' is underway at Goss International, chief executive Mohit Uberoi says on the first anniversary of the press maker's ownership by American Industrial Partners.

He says significant steps have already been taken to achieve shareholder and management goals: "When AIP purchased the business, our shareholder and management were firmly focussed on taking this market-leading business to the next phase with an even greater emphasis on customer support, financial strength and innovative products and services.

"Over the last 12 months, we have already taken significant steps to achieve these goals with new partnerships formed, solutions launched and Goss' increased focus on developing our lifetime support services," he says.

This week, Goss announced a partnership with blanket washing systems manufacturer Elettra, driven by ongoing efforts to deliver new leaner production solutions. The partnership will provide "new benefits for commercial press users by offering dramatic waste reductions that deliver a rapid return on investment". Goss has also become the exclusive dealer for Elettra commercial web products in the Americas.

In May, Goss formed a strategic partnership with web offset packaging press developer DG press Service and acquired the Thallo product line.

At DRUPA, Goss confirmed a new collaboration with sister company Presstek - which is also owned by AIP - to offer CTP systems, plates, presses, service and support for commercial and newspaper printing markets.

Uberoi says Goss has also invested in its 'Lifetime Support' programme, implementing a new CRM system which will go live later this year.

Goss Contiweb announced solutions for web-fed digital printing with HP, and launched its CFA fluid applicator technology at DRUPA. This applies silicone oil and water to restore moisture to the printed web and protect against ink picking on the surface of the chill rollers.

"These landmark developments from Goss and its partners, as well as the many other successes seen this year, are all clear indications that a positive transformation is underway," he says. "We now look forward to the next 12 months and continuing to demonstrate our commitment to ensuring that our customers, partners and Goss itself all remain at the forefront of this dynamic industry."
