The Washington Post's Arc Publishing publishing software business unit has launched a new white label app, with Canadian customer the Globe and Mail the first implementation.
The new version for iPhone and iPad - with an Android version promised "in coming weeks" - offers speed and stability with full access to all articles and sections and control of subscriber-only features and a new home section for latest news.
Font sizes are adjustable and stories can be saved for offline. The app also offers alerts to breaking news and in-app purchases for subscribers.
Arc has been building its client base for the Arc suite, and landed tronc in March, the rollout starting with the Los Angeles Times.
