AI-based deep learning has been added to Dalim's ES media production platform in what the German developer says is a significant update to last year's new version.
Features of ES 5.5 also include a interface, file management capabilities and key performance indicators.
ES (for enterprise solution) is aimed at marketing partners and media services companies, working to store, manage, locate, and drive omnichannel projects, from print to web to video.
The deep learning feature implements an AI framework based on similarity, embedding libraries based on deep learning. When active, it automatically tags metadata when a document is uploaded, which is then used in the search field. The machine learning model built works on any type of data, of any size, for more successful searches - for example, based on their colour.
Other features include a "redesigned and more sophisticated" workflow editor, a free 'check-in/check-out' application to improve interaction between the company's web applications and the operating system, supported Amazon storage, and a plugin components feature which allows expert users to create and edit their own components.
ES also allows for centralised management and resources for other sites and regions around the world, enabling work to be processed locally at remote sites.
