Austrian media monitoring and intelligence provider APA-DeFacto will use MPP Global's technology to enhance their content aggregation platform for publishers.

Based in Vienna, APA-DeFacto is a wholly-owned subsidiary of national news agency Austria Press Agency, which is owned by the nation's daily newspapers and the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation.

APA-DeFacto delivers a live paid content strategy via Austria-Kiosk, a digital newsstand with more than 300 national ePapers from around 120 publishers, all united on a single platform. Since its launch in 2011, approximately 30,000 consumers have registered on Kiosk, demonstrating a significant appetite for aggregated content in the Austrian media market.

MPP Global has also announced a go-live for Canada's Torstar Corporation on digital subscriptions. The publisher of more than 90 regional news titles - including the Toronto Star - Torstar chose MPP Global's eSuite platform earlier this year to power a new paid digital subscriptions proposition. eSuite was implemented on the flagship thestar.com website in September, offering both registrations and subscriptions through 'Star Digital Access'.

A further three regional websites owned by Torstar have been implemented with user registration walls, and an additional 24 will be implemented by the end of the year. To identify, acquire and retain new digital audiences, Torstar is using the complete collection of modules available within eSuite.
