Almost 400 users at Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung - 60 of them worldwide - are switching to a new integrated EidosMedia digital platform.

The German newsmedia company's Méthode implementation will allow print and digital editions to be created from a common workflow. Chief digital officer Thomas Schultz-Homberg says the interaction of print and digital will be "considerably simplified" by the modern infrastructure of Méthode, and save a number of manual work steps.

FAZ is one of Germany's leading newspapers and an authoritative voice in both national and international spheres. An editorial staff of more than 300 delivers quality journalism in print and digital media, with the award-winning team supported by 60 worldwide correspondents, one of the largest such networks of any daily newspaper.

Swing, EidosMedia's mobile workspace, will make it possible for colleagues in the company to participate in the editorial workflow from any location using any mobile device from laptop to smartphone. Production of the print newspaper and magazines will be organised and managed using Méthode's multi-edition planning system.

Says editor-in-chief Dr Elena Geus, "With EidosMedia's Méthode we have found the best solution to produce and publish our current journalistic products, as well as developing new ones quickly and flexibly for our readers and users."

The new platform will serve 320 users in the central Frankfurt editorial office and around 60 correspondents worldwide.
