Italian printer upgrades 'obsolete' press controls

Harland Simon has taken an order to upgrade press management systems for Centro Stampa Poligrafici in Bologna and Florence, the UK company says. Out of date Prima systems on Goss HT/Uniliner presses at two CSP facilities will be replaced with with modern PCs and new software including the ability to preset ink and dampening for from the RIP data. The upgrade will also improve event logging of all recordable data back from the presses, with time and date stamped receipt of page separations for the RIP.
