'Intensive collaboration' is working well for QI Press Controls in what it describes as a "very active" Chinese market.
The local head office has been replaced by cooperation with local agents including the experienced Gämmerler, a first success of which has been an order more than a year ago from Gansu Daily Newspaper Group's Printing Branch.
QIPC global sales and marketing director Erwin van Rossem says that with "a lot of potential" in the market, the company is remaining active, and sees positive feedback from Printing Branch as encouragement.
Part of Gansu Daily Newspaper Group, Printing Branch has been using QIPC's mRC-3D colour register system for more than a year, and is pleased with the speed, stability and efficiency gains.
Investment in new press automation in 2019 was part of a large-scale modernisation within the company, which combines newspaper and commercial book printing and is the largest newspaper printer in the north western provinces of China.
It currently prints more than 60 newspapers and magazine titles, including People's Daily, Gansu Daily, Global Times and Lanzhou Morning News and has received several quality awards. "We focus on our customers, consider green development important and give priority to quality," says deputy manager Lan Ning. "We constantly make our employees aware of the importance of quality and environmental protection and consider it important with our partners".
QIPC systems are on its 2010 and 2015 Goss Magnum 45 presses, with two more on a 2019 Goss CC system.
Lan Ning says advantages of the user-friendly mRC-3D are speed, stability and the reliability. "In addition, we can work more efficiently and the workload of the operators has been reduced."
