WoodWing Software talked iPad at its New York ‘road show’ event, telling users of its Content Station software how they could work with what they’ve got.
The event at the Time-Life Building in New York City on March 3 drew 120 visitor.
More than 120 visitors from all segments of the North American publishing industry.
President Erik Schut says the iPad will “further revolutionise” the way people receive information, especially books, magazines and newspapers.
Several iPad tools are in development, and Schut showed the familiar InDesign environment – plus some newly developed add-ons – could be used to create compelling iPad content, with Content Station used for management.
Mitch Klaif of Time was a keyote speaker, while Gary Cosimini of Adobe updated on the company’s digital publishing solutions including new options for advertisements.
WoodWing partners Aysling Digital Media Solutions (corporate publishing) and PSG Orlando (book publishing), celum, dataplan, Tansa and Acquia also took part.
The WoodWing world tour continues later this year with stops in Zürich in June, followed by London and Sydney.
