German systems developer ppi Media is expanding digitisation offerings as part of its new n3xt spin-off.

SMEs will be the target market for the services as organisations look to optimise IT processes and advance their digitisation strategies. Having made a business of providing publishing houses with automated workflows and digitisation processes for the past 35 years, ppi Media is looking to accelerate development with the new spin-off.

Managing director Manuel Scheyda says ppi n3xt combines the core skills and proven infrastructure of its parent with agile start-up methods to provide SMEs in all sectors with quick, competent and targetted support with their digitisation strategy. Services include consulting and workshops, development and programming of tailored software and the design of integration solutions.

"Founding ppi n3xt was a logical step," he said. "Our digital services department had been offering support to several companies outside the publishing world for many years, including businesses in the beverage and pharmaceutical industries.

"We thought it was time to create a unique profile and image for the services we offer to SMEs, and that's what ppi n3xt is all about".

The owner-managed software house founded in 1984 now claims 80 per cent of Germany's daily newspapers as users of its products, as well as customers in Europe, Asia, Africa and the USA.
