Solutions – including one for automatic page layout – were on display when Eidosmedia held the final customer sessions of its 2021 series.

Each of these stressed the developer’s close relationship with its users, including Gordon Edall, Vice President of Sophi.io, a subsidiary of Canada’s Globe & Mail.

The company’s AI-based solution for the automatic layout of print pages – capable of paginating a print edition in two minutes – is currently being integrated into the Eidosmedia platform.

Among other speakers, a highlight were the team of Shanshan Wang and Xuejiao Liu from China Daily, who described how China’s largest English-language title (pictured) responded to the pandemic by shifting most of its editorial staff into remote working mode… calling for a rapid roll-out of Eidosmedia’s Swing mobile workspace.

From long-term partner Agence France-Presse, Isabel Pineira, Cécile Moreno and Zoé Leclercq Müller demonstrated the agency’s new distribution model for text and media content, fully accessible from within the Eidosmedia workspaces. Both AFP and Sophi.io are taking advantage of a ‘partnership ecosystem’ currently being built to rapidly extend platform functionalities through integration with third-party applications.

Finally, the last session also included a demo of new editorial tools for both Swing and Prime, which integrate the workflow sequences from social media, with Google Maps embedding into advanced graphics for magazine page design.

Access to recordings of the presentations is available through Eidosmedia.
