A Chinese group has bought ten inkjet presses in a single order, bringing its total of that genre to 14.

Tomato Cloud Technology will become the biggest user of Fujifilm’s Jet Press when the further ten 750S presses have been installed by the end of next year.

A signing ceremony was held during ChinaPrint in June, with chief executive S.T. Lam commenting that the company had launched five smart factories since its founding in 2013, growth driven by the adoption of modern printing styles and advanced printing technologies.

“We are the only company in China that owns four Jet Press 750S presses, and by adding another ten units we are further enhancing our digital printing domain. This allows us to embody the philosophy of ‘smart print’, by providing more high quality, high-value-added products to our domestic and overseas customers.”

Fujifilm (China) Investment graphic systems president Yuji Oki says Tomato Cloud is a leading company in its field. “We believe our advanced technologies and products help to drive the development of its business,” he said. “Considering their philosophy of focusing on automated production systems and technological innovation, this Jet Press 750S deal further enhances the partnership between the two companies.”

More than 250 installations have been completed of the water-based digital inkjet press in commercial and packaging printing since its introduction in 2011.
