Koenig & Bauer has sold its first RotaJet digital press into India, where it will be used for “endless personalisation possibilities” and new applications.
Match Graphics – also the first user of the high-volume digital press in Asia – has signed a comprehensive sales and service contract to start in December, working with local representative Indo Polygraph Machinery.
Located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the family-owned company is the country’s largest supplier of printed décor paper, and will use the press to expand beyond its traditional gravure business.
Match directors Aman, Anand and Dhruv Agrawal say they are beginning a new era in the ever-growing décor paper industry: “With this investment, we see endless possibilities,” said Aman Agrawal. “We take pride in being a technology advanced manufacturer that, time and time again, has set precedents in the industry.”
Koenig & Bauer executive board member Christoph Müller described the agreement as “a blueprint for future sales”, incorporating a comprehensive service and technical support contract.
