Agfa has added key new features to its Eversify tablet platform, ahead of the World Newspaper Congress.
The automated mobile publishing solution captures content from an editorial CMS, presenting it into a preformatted product.
New features add publishing options and improved reader analytics. Publishers are now able to promote multiple titles via a single app, which is now a virtual kiosk rather than a single product reader.
Reader analytics have also been enhanced to provide more details on readers’ behaviour, including how long each article was read. A new ‘EDC++’ reader feature adds interactivity to ‘enhanced digital copy’ editions. Readers can read articles at a single click, choose text size and access both interactive and EDC content of the same edition. Other new features include text choice and improved formatting, asides and quotes, and automatic ad upload.
Agfa’s global head of software Andy Grant says the product is being continuously improved: “Our progress is reflected by the fact that we have already registered a fourfold increase in sales activity this year.”
The new version is being shown at WAN-Ifra’s World Newspaper Congress in Turin, Italy, from June 7-9.
