Ten billion a year: DTI counts its customers’ circulation

Growth in the use of its circulation product means more than ten billion newspapers a year are managed using DTI systems, the company says.

The milestone is among several reached in 2012, a record breaking year which saw expansion of its Cloud offering, launch of new digital advertising and pay meter products, and the acquisition of IO Intelligence.

The company released DTI Advertising, a completely redesigned digital advertising system and Digital Paymeter, a digital subscription solution that gives publishers control over paid content revenue.

After achieving a cloud computing excellence award in January, DTI Cloud continued to grow and now supports more than 6100 users and 680 titles worldwide, resulting in expansion of its data centres in North America and Europe.

President Dan Paulus says more corporate-wide agreements were signed than ever before: “News media companies want enterprise grade and unified systems that deliver value across departmental lines and across the entire enterprise,” he says. “That’s why we continue to invest in DTI Cloud and in technologies that focus on digital revenue expansion and cost performance.”

The industry trend toward enterprise-wide decisions was evident with several contracts including McClatchy Newspapers, McNaughton Newspapers, and Sun-Times Media Group.
