Digital Technology is on a roll with its circulation product in some key US states, and Pennsylvania is one of them.

The daily Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is the latest to sign up, implementing DTI Circulation and upgrading advertising to an all-new version of the Digital Paymeter subscription solution into the deal.

All will be deployed via DTI Cloud.

The paper, which traces its roots to 1786, has a digital strategic plan to continue its growth into the future.

The Post-Gazette actively researched circulation systems with this in mind to optimize its digital and print media operations and expand all revenue sources.

Director of audience Randy Waugaman says the new systems will deliver numerous solutions to existing problems: “We determined it would offer us the proper mix of sales, marketing, and operational programmes that will provide immediate and future benefits to our company.”

Anticipating digital growth through e-editions of the Pittsburgh Press and the Post-Gazette, and through a number of other digital products in various formats, the Post-Gazette will use the DTI subscription technology solution to build up digital product offerings – powering future growth and revenue expansion.

“Like about half of the newspapers in this country, the Post-Gazette has determined that the time is right to start charging for our offerings whether they are print or digital. We have readers for iPads, iPhones and the Android products as well as sports-related apps that we have developed.”
