Atex is on a roll in India with the second sale of its Polopoly-based web CMS there in as many weeks.
Kolkata-based ABP Group will use the web CMS to manage all its websites, implementing a multichannel newsroom strategy for print publications – including AnandaBazar Patrika (Bengali), The Telegraph (English), and Ebela (Bengali) – and associated websites.
It will also deploy the solution across its many subject-allied and targeted vertical websites.
The order extends a longstanding relationship with Atex. ABP has a significant presence across India in newspapers, magazines and book publishing, as well as several television channels, with a readership base of more than seven million.
Managing director and chief executive of ABP Dipankar Das Purkayastha says the ABP group is one of leading media companies in India. “We have been in the publishing industry for nearly 100 years and we are proud of our association with Atex in providing us with advertising, editorial and now web CMS technology.”
Atex Asia-Pacific chief executive Jerome Laredo says his company looks forward to helping ABP deliver on its strategy of touching the lives of millions of readers and viewers, daily. The web CMS project will start “shortly” with on-site training and workflow analysis workshops.
