Sri Lankan publisher Express Newspapers (Ceylon) has become the latest in a swift succession of adopters for Summit Media’s Liberty digital media platform.
A new website at www.virakesari.com uses a responsive HTML5 design that adapts to the width of the device on which the site is being viewed, making it suitable for smartphone, tablet and laptop screens.
The top-circulation Virakesari is published on a variety of platforms including print, website, e-paper, mobile and tablet apps via a Delphi CMS and Liberty 6.
Summit says four other go-lives in recent weeks have included Bangkok’s Daily News – which also uses Liberty to manage content for its TV channel – and Tamil daily Dinamalar in Chennai, the first newspaper in India to go live with Liberty 6 to publish print, web and mobile publications.
Another Tamil publication at Chennai, Makkal Kural is also live with Liberty 6, as is Punjab Kesari, a Hindi newspaper at New Delhi.
Summit says the new installations add up to two million new readers in three languages now benefitting from its technology.
