Publishing pioneer and US distributor of vjoon's K4 platform, Managing Editor is partnering WoodWing to market the rival's multichannel Enterprise and Elvis digital asset management system.

Established at the height of the desktop publishing revolution in 1990, MEI still develops its own Page Director layout systems for display and classified, and is an Adobe premier development partner.

It also develops a cloud-based CMS integrated with Adobe InDesign and DPS.

MEI business development senior vice president Mark Leister says calls the addition "a perfect complement" to its portfolio, a commitment to giving customers best-of-breed workflow solutions to meet diverse needs.

WoodWing chief executive Roel-Jan Mouw says the move will help it expand its footprint in the United States and Canada: "The business thinking and the strategies of MEI and WoodWing are very similar, making this partnership a perfect match and resulting in a much stronger position and faster growth of WoodWing in North America," he says.
