Norwegian local newspaper Os og Fusaposten has gone live with Newscycle's cloud-based digital and content management systems.
Based in Os, Hordaland, the paper is the third Mediehuset Sunnhordland title moving to Newscycle software: "We haven't had an editorial management system or a way to archive content in the past so this is making a big difference in our processes as we grow and move forward," says chief executive Reidar Hystad.
The system is part of a plan to expand productivity levels and multimedia content consistencies across all devices, and includes a central database to share resources and assets.
Regional sales director Robert Bohlin says the newspaper has immediately simplified processes, saved money "and is now serving customers better by delivering the news the way audiences want to receive it".
• A single sign-on application for Newscycle's Circulation product line will eliminate the need for readers to remember multiple logins and passwords. Developed with Syncronex, the solution uses Digital Paymeter as the 'identity provider'for Newscycle's Circulation iServices subscriber application. The SSO application also supports social media integration, enabling subscribers to log-in with Facebook. It can also integrate with systems including Gigya and Janrain and "most" third-party CMS products.
