INMA is partnering with the Berlin School of Creative Leadership on a 20,000 Euros (about US$25,000) scholarship toward tuition for its Executive MBA programme for mid-career media company executives.
INMA executive director and chief executive Earl Wilkinson says there is nothing casual about the part-time programme: “It is intense. It is a major investment in people,” he says.
“And it is designed for executives that companies want to invest in to upgrade multi-media skill sets; to lead major strategic changes from within; to develop new business models and profit centres; and to cultivate future leadership for the digital age.
He says news media companies have mostly under-invested in the leadership class which will guide them into the next decade. “We believe the Berlin School of Creative Leadership’s global programme is a big step in the right direction – for the right person at the right company.
“That INMA can nudge this forward and get members thinking in this direction is (we hope) a big step forward,” he says.
