Latest fruits of the 2014 Atex-Applix partnership are a new Viewerplus 2.5 platform for tablets and mobile.

The new product includes new app UI and user experience to maximize performance and meet current app design trends. Text has also been made more readable for a user-friendly reading experience

The upgrade from 2.0 sees a new graphic layout with a focus on the cover, special issues and newspapers local editions. Use of gestures speeds up in-app browsing. The focus is also on reading features and adaptability of content to small screens.

New architecture promises faster management and operation.

In the text version, smartphone users see a list of articles which they can read full-page with the option to re-size fonts and share content via email and social networks. Tablet users can display the list of articles on the left and the text of the article on the right.

Next steps are plug-and-play integration with platforms for subscription and client management.
