News Corp is backing print advertising with a marketing campaign which offers small businesses $1 million in advertising as prizes.
Working with five South Australian business groups, the Business Booster campaign offers five packages of print and digital advertising valued at $100,000 and ten of $50,000, plus a $50,000 prize for members of each of the groups.
Brand SA, Business SA, Motor Traders Association, BNI Adelaide and Hub39 have each been promised a guaranteed $50,000 package to be won by one of their members.
News South Australia managing director Ish Davies says the competition is one of the largest of its type the state has seen. "We're proud to be offering the opportunity for 15 small businesses to grow their brands and make an impression," he says.
The competition is open to July 8.
News will use paid and free newspapers to promote the competition, as well as online and via organic social media, radio and email communications.
Editor of The Advertiser Matt Deighton says the campaign "further demonstrates how 'We're for small business': "News stories will focus on tips, ideas and innovations, issues, research, new products and services and opportunities to help small businesses survive and thrive."
