India's Jagran Prakashan is adding Digital Collections' digital asset management system to the ppi Media production and planning solution it introduced in 2016.

Jagran Prakashan publishes Dainik Jagran - the largest read daily in India - and uses ppi's digital assembly line and PlanPag planning and production suite for the print production of more than 260 local editions.

The DAM will help it increase efficiency of the editorial library management for texts, images, videos, and other assets.

Integration of DC-X at Jagran Prakashan is being led by a project of experts from both ppi Media and Digital Collections. Executive president Sandeep Gupta says the addition will help newsrooms in the faster retrieval of required archived content.

Dainik Jagran claims a readership of 55.9 million readers a day, the highest read daily in India for the last consecutive 21 rounds of the Indian Readership Survey. Its 37 editions cover 11 states of India, and the World Association of Newspapers has declared it the largest read daily in the world.

It has also been voted as the 'most credible' source of news in a BBC-Reuters survey.
