Sydney printing trade show PrintEx is back in 2011, four years after the previous event. Organisers GAMAA and the PIAA are predicting a sell-out for the show in Halls 1-3 of the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, from May 4-6. This is Wednesday to Friday, rather than the previous Thursday-Saturday format. Launched in 1999, PrintEx established itself as a ‘shell-scheme’ only presentation with a focus on networking rather than expensive stands laden with large equipment. It will again feature forums and coincide with the National Print Awards dinner. Board of PrintEx11 is GAMAA representatives Mitchell Mulligan (chairman), Ian Martin, Livio Barbagello and Craig Heckenberg, with representatives from PIAA Chris Segaert, Peter Carrigan and Susan Heaney.
