If you haven't registered already, WAN-Ifra's Asian Media Leaders eSummit offers a strong line-up of speakers across three days.
The virtual event on Singapore time is from April 7-9, with programme details here. The roster of speakers is impressive, kicking off with SCMP chair Gary Liu and Phillip Crawley, chief executive and publisher of Canada's Globe and Mail, to include technical, content and cultural experts.
Among them, Damian Radcliffe, author of '50 Ways to Make Media Pay', will elaborate on ten revenue verticals, and Bonnier News Local editorial director Pia Rehnquist shares the Swedish group's strategy in turning around 40 local and regional newspapers by banking on reader revenue and the kinds of content that pay.
Nearer home, there's the story of WARC's Asia team overhauling their publication strategy and moving into pandemic-related content, enhancing the commercial impact of editorial work which helped support double-digit billings growth in 2020. Jenny Chan, WARC's China editor (pictured) discusses the importance of language localisation, original reporting in email and WeChat bulletins, the expansion of WARC's content offering to cover Greater China and other clever ideas.
