Two old-established publishers in northern Germany are working together to align their SAP and advertising systems.
Weser-Kurier publisher Bremer Tageszeitungen is consolidating IT systems and processes with Nordwest Mediengruppe, which publishes the Nordwest-Zeitung in Oldenburg. ppi Media’s AdX and AdMan advertising systems are being introduced for ad production and scheduling of its ads as part of an ongoing project overseen by MSP Medien Systempartner.
Bremer Tageszeitungen – which already uses ppi Media’s Content-X editorial system – is introducing AdMan and AdX, which are already being used by the Nordwest-Zeitung for print and digital ads, resulting in a continuous ad workflow and harmonised production across different locations using various editors and DTP systems.
In Bremen and Oldenburg, a special focus is on ensuring seamless integration of external typesetting service providers.
Bremer Tageszeitungen IT head Christian Wagner says the new solutions enable efficient and transparent ad workflows in all areas, “allowing us to offer advertising customers the best possible service in digital and print”.
The papers’ origins go back to 1743, giving rise to a claim to be the world’s seventh oldest.
