Vail in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains is the venue for INMA’s long-awaited invitation-only retreat next August.

The Roundtable at Vail (August 23-25) is designed as an interactive retreat in a “relaxed and confidential” setting for chief executives to identify growth paths over the next three years.

To be invited, you need to be the chief executive (or similar) of a newsmedia company in corporate membership, with attendance limited to one representative per company.

Built around Vail Ski Resort, Vail is known for its hotels, dining, and numerous events year-round. In the summertime, it is a haven for golfing, hiking, bike-riding, ziplining, scenic gondola rides, shopping, and “immaculate dining”, organisers say. A range of night-time activities range from intimate lounge singers at The Sonnenalp to modern mountain music at bars, to a robust nightclub scene. Details here.

The Roundtable is one of four global in-person events in 2023, with INMA urging early budgeting and registration.

The others are:

Media Subscriptions Summit Week (March 6-10) in the “subscription capital” of Stockholm, a two-day summit to include eight workshops and a study tour.  Click here for details.

The World Congress of News Media Week (May 22-26) returns to New York for INMA's two-day Media Conference, five workshops on subscriptions, product, data, newsrooms, and advertising, plus multiple study tours, the unveiling of the Global Media Awards, and an extensive social lineup. Details here.

European Media Innovation Week (September 26-30) in Antwerp, Belgium, consists of a study tour of leading Belgian media and tech companies and the 50th European News Media Conference. See the draft website here.

“When we meet in person, magic happens,” says executive director Earl Wilkinson.
