Just describe what you want, and a new image tool will deliver one or more pictures, combining them to create beautiful mosaics.
That’s the promise of Atex’s Matik, which uses a generative AI model to support editors using the company’s Desk multichannel content production system.
With the new feature, Matik interrogates DALL·E 2, a generative AI model developed by OpenAI, to retrieve corresponding images, which can then be incorporated into editorial systems.
Atex says this will streamline the image selection process, allowing for faster and more efficient content creation.
“This new feature is a game-changer for media organisations and content creators who need to produce high-quality visual content quickly and efficiently,” says EMEA marketing, sustainability and business development head Alberto Mari.
“Users can easily find the right image to accompany their content without spending hours searching through stock photo websites or hiring a professional photographer.”
Matik leverages the Atex AI platform, an API interface that connects publishers’ production workflows with AI solutions. Desk users include National World, GEDI, Mediahuis and Newsday.
