If former Eidosmedia Australia boss Lodovico de Briganti makes his target in next weekend’s Smith Family Challenge, it will bring to more than $100,000 the total he has raised for the charity.

Sussex Inlet – just two hours from the centre of Sydney – is the venue for this year’s “exhilarating 100km off-road adventure”, held over two days. Teams of four will navigate by foot, bike and on the water through a challenging course before reaching the finish line, with the event aiming to raise more than $1 million.

So far, de Briganti has raised $97,260 over 12 years participation in the event, with the charity’s Learning for Life programme helping supply things like schoolbooks, school bags, uniforms and stationery, as well as access to mentors and staff to help them keep up with their peers and go on to break the cycle of disadvantage.

You can support the event – and the team’s twelfth challenge – through his linked fundraising page. You can also leave a message of ‘encouragement’ there!
