WAN-Ifra has named a raft of speakers – its “first group” – for the one-day AI forum it is holding in Jakarta.

Slated for August 5, the programme opens with a keynote from Stuart Robertson, Nine Australia’s publishing head of strategy, and continues with three further sessions, a keynote and a panel discussion.

Contributors are AI experts and early adopters from around the region and the world, who will share case studies, strategies and experiences. Topics include the use of AI for content generation, for fact checking, to manage complex algorithms that drive analytics for growing audiences, and in advertising, and speakers will also talk about the challenges to journalism ethics that the technology has brought about.

Also announced so far are: Dian Gemiano (Chief Marketing Officer of KG Media, Indonesia), Ezra Eeman (Director of Strategy & Innovation, NPO, Netherlands), Chua Chin Hon (Supervising Editor, AI Strategy and Solutions, Mediacorp, Singapore), Adisti Sawitri (Deputy Editor-in-chief of The Jakarta Post), Rama Mamuaya (Founder and CEO DailySocial.id Indonesia), Elin Yunita Kristanti (Deputy Editor in Chief Liputan6.com), Ariel Aulia Widjaja (Head of Product, IDN Media, Indonesia), Johnsons (Head of Technology, KG Media), Andy Saputra (Jakarta Bureau Chief Associated Press, Indonesia), and Cahyanto Arie Wibowo (Director of Business Development, H+ Hakuhodo International, Indonesia).
