The IfraExpo trade exhibition for news publishing and media returns to Vienna next month in combination with the 63rd World Newspaper Congress and the 18th World Editors Forum.

Some 287 exhibitors are expected to draw an estimated 10,000 visitors from more than 80 countries to the Reed Messe exhibition complex in Vienna from October 10-12.

The expo will be followed this year by the World Newspaper Congress and World Editors Forum, the annual summit meetings of the world's press, from October 12-15 in the same venue. The Congress examines the business side of the newspaper business, presenting leading publishers from many markets, while the Editors Forum is the number-one editorial conference worldwide for chief editors and other senior newsroom personnel.

Supporting events for this year’s IfraExpo include:

- Media Port, which presents successful publishing case studies from around the globe - and the technology that drives the success (October 10-12);

- The Power of Print, a series of Focus Sessions bringing together international case studies (Oct 10-11);

- the fourth International E-reading & Tablet Conference, which highlights the opportunities that new eReaders, Tablet PCs and the iPad offer to newspaper companies (Oct 11);

- Presentation of the winners of the WAN-IFRA XMA Cross Media Awards (Oct 10);

- The annual "Get Together," where participants can make contacts and renew acquaintances with publishers and suppliers from all over the world while enjoying refreshments, snacks and music (Oct 10);

- and much more. Full details of all the events can be found at http://www.worldnewspaperweek.org.
