DRUPA: Landa drops in on KBA’s inkjet

Benny Landa and KBA president and chief executive Claus Bolza-Schünemann have been “talking shop” on the German press maker’s DRUPA stand.

While the two are said to have known each other for many years, the Düsseldorf show was a good place to view KBA’s RotaJet76 inkjet web press, developed in association with US print giant RR Donnelley.

Described by a spokesman as “the Steve Jobs of the print media industry” Landa launched his own ‘nanographic’ printing process at DRUPA this year… a successor to the Indigo process he sold to Hewlett Packard.

“KBA management and engineers have known Benny Landa for the past 20 years and respect his many achievements in diverse projects. They were delighted to welcome him to the KBA stand on Saturday and thanked him for taking time out to view the new RotaJET 76,” says a spokesman.
