Océ will show its latest digital newspaper and book printing offerings to publishers in a European briefing in Germany next month.

The event at the company’s Poing headquarters on September 26 coincides with INMA’s European conference in The Hague.

Australian marketing manager for Océ Damian Schaller says aim is to capitalise on interest shown in newspaper and book printing products during DRUPA. “Recognised experts from the  industry, substrate and finishing partners will be on hand to provide insights into the latest publishing trends and solutions,” he says.

A mono version of the 762 mm wide JetStream 4300 – for which manroland web systems has developed a book and signatures postprocessing solution – is expected to generate interest.

“Another success brought about by the alliance is a newspaper printing solution based on JetStream 4300 colour presses teamed with a manroland pin-feed folder, which will be installed at the Rivet Presse Edition in France, and is capable of producing up to 40,000 digital newspapers within five hours,” he says.
