Hörner-Maraß joined the Augsburg, Germany, headquartered company on September 15, succeeding Uwe Lüders, chairman of owners Possehl, who has held the position since its post-administration reorganisation.
He says that while the company is “on the road to success”, it still needs to strengthen its position.
“With adequate development in the fourth quarter, we will be able to meet our expectations for sales and profit and are confident that we will finish 2012 with a positive annual result,” he told staff.
In the webfed printing and service sectors, consistent restructuring measures and steady business paid off in the first quarters of this year, despite a market which is still difficult.
“It is important that we stay the course we’ve set. There are still highly demanding tasks ahead of us that will require our full energy, creativity, and intelligence.
“In tight, saturated markets, only the quickest, most creative, productive, and self-confident companies are ultimately successful.”
Security for the company has been secured by the acquisition of the Augsburg site.
Even in “turbulent times”, the web press maker kept delivering, and Hörner-Maraß believes says that demonstrates the exceptional commitment of employees, and “needs-based product advancements”.
