With 17 TKS presses already – including 12 at one site – the latest Tonichi Printing order will create one of Japan’s largest production facilities.
The company has ordered two double-width Color Top 7100CD presses for their main facility in Tokyo, bringing the total there to 14. The new presses will each have three four-high and one two-high towers with one double folder. Other equipment includes TKS TNPC press controls and FWL automatic web leading system.
The presses deliver high quality and stable registration through low to high speeds of up to 90,000 cph.
Present at the contract signing on January 30 were T. Torii (president), S. Suzuki (senior executive director), T. Imai (executive director), H. Watanabe (director) from Tonichi and Y. Shiba (president) and others from TKS.
The first press will go into production in February 2014 with the second press starting up the following November.
